Angels vs. Demons Blog Party

Welcome to Writer's Block-buster Blog!

If you're hitting this as part of the blog hop, then you'll appreciate short and sweet so you can get on to the next stop. And be sure to hit them all. Prizes await!

My question for you:
In this exciting sub-genre of paranormal romances, do you prefer your hero or your heroine to be the immortal in the story? (In cases where only one is an angel or demon.) And please, don't let the cover of my pretty book sway you--the book with the lovely female angel.

Leave your answer in the comments so your name can be added to the drawings. One of you will also receive, from me, a lovely box of gourmet chocolates to eat while you read your next angel romance. Hint, hint.

Here is a little excerpt from the book:

She’d imagined all kinds of cravings, for all kinds of flavors during her short existence, but never for the taste of someone.
He was looking at her lips so intently she didn’t dare move them. His lashes were incredibly long, golden brown. His nostrils flared suddenly and the entire world tilted with his face as he moved forward. His mouth met hers as smoothly as...breathing.
She focused all conscious thought to the rise and fall of his chest, to his nearness, and she could have wept for her lack of taste in her mouth or sensation in her lips. For the first time, she mourned for the depth of experience lost to her.
This wasn’t the smell or feel of peaches, or the taste of corn coming apart in her mouth. This was mortality beneath her hands, against her fingers...and completely out of her reach.

NOW, hop around the party, people, and win yourself a Kindle Fire or a Nook!

It doesn't really matter to me if the hero or heroine is immortal or not. For suspense pirposes, it's probably better if they aren't immortal.

BTW, I LOVE the title Where to Pee on a Pirate Ship. I'm like, "Really, who wouldn't want to know that?!?"

I don't really have a preference, I just like one of them to be 'odd'. I love your title of "Lord Fool to the Rescue". Talk about an accidental hero. Thanks for the chance at the giveaway. :)

Thanks, guys. I sometimes get these crazy titles in mind and write the book AFTER.

When my agent asked for a new title for the angel story, I ran out of ideas and said "I don't care if we call it Somewhere Over the Freaking Rainbow." And there it was.

I don't have a preference but many of the books I've read, the hero is the immortal.

Thanks,

I've never really thought about whether I'd prefer the hero or heroine to be immortal. I think it depends on what kind of hero or heroine they are. I've read both.

I do like my heroes or heroines to be immortal...its kinda sad when only one is and you know they have to live eternity without their loved one.

Never thought about it, but I guess if I'm gonna choose one, I'll choose the hero -- too bad he'll have more chances to love over the eons of time than she will.

I'm so thrilled things are going good for you.

I have read all combinations and I think most of us wouldn't mind if we were swept off of our feet by some immortal lover ;)

Definitely the guy. But I want her to eventually turn immortal too. Too sad otherwise. But until then... I just love the conflict that situation presents.

LOL these titles are great, as for who would want to be immortal I think I perfer the guy not sure why but I have read where the girl is which has been in my favorite series and it didn't bother me as much as I thought it might.

I don't think it matters for me but most of the books I've read had the heroes being immortal so yea... But either way's fine as long as one of them is immortal :)

It doesn't matter if the hero/heroine is immortal, however there is a certain draw for me to any that are immortal. I guess that's why I love vampires so much.

It doesn't really matter to me, I've enjoyed where the hero was the supernatural and the heroine mortal and the other way around :)

I'm cool with the whole immortality thing either way.
As far as angels vs demons, who doesn't love a bad boy? Demons baby! mawmom@gmail.com

I think immortals can be really interesting because they've seen more of life. Plus, they are sometimes clueless about things in the modern world, which can be funny.

I actually prefer the hero to be the immortal and for the heroine to be able to become immortal. Of course that shouldn't happen until the end of the book! LOL!

I usually like the hero to be the one to be immortal -- although one of my faves, Richelle Mead's Georgina Kincaid series, the situation's reversed, so it works for me either way, as long as the story's good!

I never gave much thought to a preference. I want to like the characters and I really like extra abilities, so perhaps immortal ;) Thank you for participating in this fun hop.

I don't really care whether it is the hero or the heroine that is the immortal of the story, or if they both are. I have read and enjoyed many stories that varied with this.

Hmmm. . . you pose an interesting question. . . I've never thought about it that way. I think as long as the story is good it's written well it doesn't matter if the hero or heroine is the immortal!

I'm not too picky about whether the character is mortal or immortal, but I must admit that, when there's a chance they might die, the story is a bit more gripping.

Good question! I can really go either way, as long as the power differential between hero & heroine is fairly equal. Thanks for being part of the hop...
